SIFU PETER RALSTON was my main internal martial arts teacher in the 1980's. He provided great insight into how to translate the principles and practices of Tai Chi Chuan and Internal Martial Arts into effective fighting skill. Through his Apprentice program I learned better how to incorporate these same principles and practices into the effective managing of everyday life.
Sifu Ralston was the first ever Westerner to achieve a Full Contact World Championship victory in the infrequently held Chinese Martial Arts championship competitions in Asia. He has since become well known in the Martial Arts community also for his powerful and enlightening books: "Principles of Effortless Power", "Cheng Hsin Tui Shou: The Art of Effortless Power", "Integrity of Being". etc.
The photo below is a bad copy of a bad snapshot taken when Master Ralston won the Full Contact gold medal at the World Championships in the Republic of China in 1978.
